Invivo offers a 6-month part-time internship to candidates with a strong scientific background, basic knowledge of the technology transfer process, and who are eager to learn how investing in early-stages works. The position will be based in Barcelona, and all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

During these 6 months, you will get to know the forefront of healthcare innovation, by scouting and screening new investment opportunities, and by performing reviews in specific fields of interest. You will support the investment team with deal flow management, and with further analysing those opportunities that might fit our scope. This analysis will include a deep understanding of the scientific basis, mapping of the competitive landscape, and identifying both the strengths and weaknesses of each venture, among other relevant aspects. On top, you will attend pitching and networking events, while gaining exposure to different stakeholders from our ecosystem.

“Being part of Invivo’s internship program has given me a gateway to the biomedical sector. It has allowed me to acquire a deep knowledge of both the ecosystem and the actors that make it up, as well as the different financing tools that exist. In addition, it has allowed me to be exposed to a wide variety of projects, at a national and international level, which has given me a broader view of the most avant-garde trends. Being surrounded by a team that is both human and professional has made the stay a truly enriching experience.”.

“Participating at Invivo’s internship has been a very enriching experience. I learned how the world of entrepreneurship in the biotech sector works from an investor’s perspective. I was able to see the trends in this sector by analysing the most disruptive projects to cure the most difficult diseases to treat as of today. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to fully immerse themselves in this world”.
